ABOUT US

Brunswick High School Theatre Arts Program is growing! We perform two shows each year; including a fall play and a spring musical. In addition, the Drama Boosters hosts various showcases and fundraisers throughout the year.

Consider joining BHStage if you like to act, sing, or dance. If you don't want to be on stage, consider being part of the crew. We are always looking for help with sets, costumes, makeup, lighting, and sound.

Meet Our Teachers

Director: Lyndsey Peterson
Assistant Director: Margaret Clugston

Lyndsey Peterson is an English and Theater teacher at BHS. Originally from Bucks County, PA, she is thrilled to share her years of stage experience with the students of BHS. She received her undergraduate degree from Lycoming College (Williamsport, PA) in English Literature and Secondary Education and has a masters degree in Theater from Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA). Lyndsey came to BHS in the fall of 2016 to teach English and was instantly recruited to  assistant direct and choreograph for the theater department. In 2018,  she was asked to run the program and has since thoroughly enjoyed bringing her experience and knowledge of theater to grow the program and give the kids at Brunswick the same wonderful memories she had while performing in high school. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family and friends, and sings with the Choral Arts Society of Frederick.

Margaret Clugston is a Math teacher at BHS. A graduate of Linganore High School, she was an active part of the theater program there and has a genuine love of all aspects of theater. She studied Math and Theater at Shepherd University and has quickly become beloved and a pivotal part of the technical theater program at BHS, helping students to learn all about the technical aspects of all show.
